Program highlights


Community engagement

Our Associate Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to our team members and their families who are victims of natural disasters (e.g., fire, tornado, floods, etc.) or who are facing severe financial hardships. To give back to their communities, the majority of our U.S. team members receive up to eight hours per year of paid Volunteer Time Off. Additionally, our myCommunityImpact program allows team members to amplify their commitment through the Matching Gifts and Dollars for Doers Program. 

Career & training

We provide our team members with the tools needed to assess and proactively manage their careers. This includes training programs, professional development resources,  and opportunities to participate in mentorship programs, employee resource groups and volunteering events. We also ensure team members receive the recognition they deserve for driving excellence through our annual Pursuit of Purpose awards and True Blue team members recognition program.

Education & tuition reimbursement

We encourage team members to expand their educational opportunities by offering  tuition reimbursement for team members pursuing an educational degree. Eligible full-time team members receive up to $5250, and part-time team members up to $2500, per calendar year towards the pursuit of higher education. We also offer a special custom degree arrangement, with six college partners, enabling a degree to be obtained within the annual benefit.

Family & work life balance*

To support working families, we offer paid time off, adoption assistance, infertility coverage, family building support, behavioral health solutions, backup care, additional family support, and Guidance Resources. We offer paid parental leave, with eligible team members receiving 12 weeks of paid leave following the birth, adoption or placement of a child/children through surrogacy. We also offer caregiver leave, with eligible team members receiving two weeks of paid leave to care for an eligible family member who has a serious health condition.

Health & wellbeing*

The health and wellbeing of our team members is a top priority, which is why our benefits begin on Day 1! In addition to the traditional, comprehensive health & welfare offerings like medical, dental and vision care, we offer personal healthcare navigation assistance, prescription savings programs, tobacco cessation support and more! Our myWellbeing program focuses on the physical, emotional, financial and social aspects of wellness. Team members earn points towards a reduction in health insurance premium costs by completing a number of activities which include monthly challenges, financial training, and getting preventive exams and screenings.

Retirement & financial

In addition to compensation, our total rewards package includes life and other insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase program, and a student loan management tool. With our 401(k) plan, AmerisourceBergen matches 100% of the first 3% of eligible pay you contribute, plus 50% of the next 2% — up to 4% total. The plan also provides the opportunity for a Performance Contribution when the Company meets certain financial targets.

Global benefits

All team members globally are provided with basic life insurance, personal accident insurance, business travel accident insurance, and EAP resources at no cost.
