Global Sustainability Report
We are committed to making a positive impact on people and planet through the work we do and the communities we serve.
Our focus on access to healthcare
We believe that health equity can only be achieved by providing access to healthcare for all. Through an invite-only grant process, the AmerisourceBergen Foundation collaborates with organizations to implement projects that have a goal of providing everyone, both humans and animals, with a fair and just opportunity to be as healthy as possible. Specific areas funded include:
Supporting human health-related causes around the globe focused on access to healthcare for underserved populations
Improving the health of service, disaster response, companion and production animals that support humans around the globe
Prescription drug safety
Combatting prescription drug misuse in the U.S. through safe disposal and innovative solutions
The Foundation recognizes the value of our team members:
Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
At the AmerisourceBergen Foundation, we foster diverse, equitable and inclusive partnerships that create healthier lives and communities. We aim to advance health equity and access to healthcare by collaborating with organizations who strive for diversity, equity and inclusiveness in their own organizations and the communities they serve, as we partner to create healthier futures.
Diversity, equity and inclusion is woven throughout everything we do at the AmerisourceBergen Foundation. We seek to measure our programs and the programs we support within a framework of health equity. And we are committed to continually improving our practices and procedures to ensure equity and inclusivity among all of our stakeholders and building partnerships that result in real lasting change.
Acting as a community
We take pride in the partnerships we’re developing through our invitation-only programs, hyperlocal grants and scholarship programs. Because we know that when we are united in our responsibilities, together we can create healthier futures.
