President and Chief Executive Officer
Bob Mauch is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cencora, Inc. Since transitioning into the role in October 2024, Bob is focused on building on Cencora’s exceptional decade of growth, driving a customer-centered approach, and leading the organization’s 46,000 team members across more than 50 countries in exemplifying our purpose of being united in our responsibility to create healthier futures.
Bob began his more than 30-year career in pharmaceutical care as the founder of Xcenda (formerly Applied Health Outcomes) which provides health economics as well as strategic and reimbursement consulting to pharmaceutical companies. Bob joined Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) in 2007 when the company acquired Xcenda.
Since joining the company, Bob led the company’s transformation to a united, global provider of pharmaceutical-centered healthcare solutions, driving the company’s continued digital and commercial transformations, developing and implementing an industry-shaping pricing strategy, and implementing strategies to expand operations globally.
Most recently, Bob held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer where he supported the business in building innovative solutions that advance the delivery of pharmaceutical care, creating a best-in-class customer and partner experience, and ensuring access to life-saving pharmaceutical care for patients globally.
As part of his commitment to ensuring the company fosters an environment of inclusion, Bob is the Chair of the company’s Global DEI Council and Executive Sponsor of the Executive Leadership Initiative, a program to support the development of leaders from underrepresented groups within the business. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors for the Covenant House of Pennsylvania, the immediate past chair of the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, and is a member of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research Society, American Society of Managed Care Pharmacy, and the American Pharmacists Association.
Bob received his Pharm.D. from Mercer University and his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science from the University of South Carolina where he pursued a focus in health economics and outcomes research.
