Treatment and prevention
We’re committed to being the best partner to support ongoing developments in the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. In 2020, we began working with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to distribute COVID-19 therapies approved for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). Since this partnership started, AmerisourceBergen has shipped over three million patient courses of COVID-19
therapies to sites of care throughout the United States.

Media Statement on Federal Retail Pharmacy Program
With the start of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, AmerisourceBergen will formally begin its role as a “network administrator” and place orders with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on behalf of an initial set of eligible and qualified Good Neighbor Pharmacy and Elevate Provider Network members in certain areas.
Safety of our team members
The health, safety and well-being of our team members is a top priority during this global pandemic. We're supporting our front-line teams during COVID-19 with:
- Enhanced cleaning protocol including EPA-approved disinfectants and additional support from third-party cleaners
- Implemented "Wally" the UV disinfection robot in our distribution centers to ensure maximum cleanliness and team member safety
- Back-up dependent care program

Our customers rely on us in order to treat and care for their patients which means it is paramount that we ensure any disruptions to our operations do not impact our ability to deliver on our customers’ needs.
