Meet your moderator
Ryan Telford, PharmD
Vice President, Ambulatory and Specialty Solutions, AmerisourceBergen
Ryan has more than 13 years of experience in multi-site pharmacy leadership at Fortune 50 companies in a variety of positions. He joined AmerisourceBergen in 2017 as a managing consultant. In his current role as managing director, he is responsible for managed services for health systems and ambulatory retail pharmacies. Ryan has extensive expertise in all aspects of retail and ambulatory pharmacy as well as development of high-functioning teams. As a licensed pharmacist, Ryan understands the industry from all perspectives and offers clients solutions that consider the real-world responsibilities of practicing pharmacists.
Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Ryan served as the director of pharmacy for a large retail pharmacy operation with oversight for 150 pharmacies across three states. He also held positions in retail settings, including roles as regional pharmacy manager, district manager and staff pharmacist.
Ryan’s areas of expertise include ambulatory pharmacy operations, management and optimization; regulatory and compliance issues; specialty pharmacy; inpatient meds-to-beds programs; pharmacy finance, accounting and budgeting; and capital project planning.
He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Idaho State University and is a licensed pharmacist in Colorado. Ryan is a member of the American Pharmacist Association (APA) and the Colorado Pharmacists Society (CPS).

Gerald is a managing consultant for AmerisourceBergen's Pharmacy Solutions where he is responsible for financial analysis and implementation of consolidated pharmacy services centers for large health systems. He has extensive experience in pharmacy supply chain services, pharmacy finance, and acute care pharmacy operations optimization.
Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen, Gerald served as the Resident Manager of Investigational Drug Services at the University of North Carolina Medical Center where he oversaw human resources, workflow optimization, and staff development.
He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and completed his Master of Science in health system pharmacy administration at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy as well as a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis, Fogelman College of Business. Gerald also is a member of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP).
