Advanced Therapies are making rapid progress towards becoming widely commissioned as therapeutic options outside the research setting - and the first few products have already crossed this hurdle. They bring specific challenges though, particularly in their logistics and tracking.

To explore some of them, a workshop was held in October 2019 as part of the Northern Alliance Advanced Therapies Treatment Centre (NA-ATTC) programme.
With thanks to contributing NA-ATTC partners, this work was led by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and World Courier in collaboration with Cytiva, Autolus Therapeutics, TrakCel, Newcastle University, NHSBT and The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Discover the learnings and recommendations from the workshop through the case study and publication from the NA-ATTC, co-authored by Simon Ellison, Dr Chris Herbert and Sarah Tehan.
