Carla Frehn

Senior Director, Good Neighbor Pharmacy Marketing and Advertising


As Senior Director of Good Neighbor Pharmacy Marketing and Advertising, Carla Frehn leads the team of advertising and brand managers responsible for helping Good Neighbor Pharmacy members showcase the unique attributes of their independent pharmacy, attract new patients and deepen their engagement with their community. She oversees the development of patient-facing marketing and advertising strategies, as well as the execution of related programs offered to Good Neighbor Pharmacy members.

Prior to establishing herself in her current position, Carla served as the Director of Corporate Marketing for AmerisourceBergen, where she led the marketing strategy and launch of major programs and initiatives, such as Elevate Provider Network, Pharmacy Ownership Services and ThoughtSpot. She was also instrumental in the development and launch of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy digital offering, which was introduced to Good Neighbor Pharmacy Premier members in January 2019.

Before joining AmerisourceBergen, Carla managed marketing design services for a family-owned healthcare media company. There she led a team of graphic and web designers to support business growth for a portfolio of 31 publications, an online retail shop and a custom promotions sales division.

Carla is deeply committed to independent pharmacy thanks to her upbringing in a small, family-owned and operated business, which was started by her great grandmother in 1932. This general store and gas station was the hub of her local community at the time, as is true for many independent pharmacies today. Carla was the fourth generation of her family to work at the store, and that formative experience is what drives her to go above and beyond for her locally-loved Good Neighbor Pharmacy members.

Carla holds a BA from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
