Our journey to Cencora

In August 2023, we announced that our parent company,
AmerisourceBergen, officially became Cencora, Inc.

For more than 20 years, AmerisourceBergen built and evolved a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to meet our customers’ most urgent challenges as they navigated the ever-changing healthcare landscape. Building on this legacy, we recognized the need to make it easier for our customers and team members to collaborate and work more seamlessly across our portfolio and company.

The result is Cencora, which unites our family of companies to align our capabilities and expertise under a global organization, demonstrating our leadership and preparing for future growth and innovation.

Customers may begin to see the Cencora name reflected in marketing materials about our services and products, however, we continue to do business aligned to our existing legacy legal and operating entities, which remain unchanged at this time.

The Cencora portfolio of companies includes AmerisourceBergen, a trusted partner managing pharmaceutical supply chain operations and distribution throughout the U.S.

What is changing?

Cencora, Inc. replaces AmerisourceBergen Corporation as the legal name for our parent company.

Why the change? 

Cencora brings our companies and services together under one name and brand. This unification will make it easier for our customers to understand our offerings and partner with us.

What is the timing?

This is a multi-year transformation, and we are taking a purposeful, thoughtful approach as we make the transition to Cencora legally and operationally. Our number one priority is to continue to service our customers without disruption. Any changes will be carefully planned and implemented in direct collaboration with our customers.
