Executive Vice President and Chief Data and Information Officer
Pawan Verma is Executive Vice President and Chief Data and Information Officer for Cencora, Inc. As a member of Cencora’s enterprise leadership team, Pawan is responsible for developing the strategic direction and vision to create elevated customer capabilities by leading Cencora’s technology portfolio and services, systems, data, and analytics globally.
Prior to joining Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) in 2024, Pawan served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer for MetLife where he led a high-tech, high-touch customer experience strategy and an overall technology transformation focused on simplifying the customer journey, technology modernization, digitization, data and artificial intelligence, business process reengineering, and talent. Previously, he held leadership roles at Foot Locker, Target Corporation, and Verizon.
Pawan has more than 22 years of experience with demonstrated success aligning technology with strategic business goals to propel growth and create value. In 2019 Pawan was recognized by Forbes with the CIO Innovation Award for his digital and data work at Footlocker that yielded revenue augmenting innovation.
A strong believer that diversity, equity, and inclusion drive greater organizational success, Pawan is a founding member and board member of TechPACT, an organization committed to addressing inequality in the technology space. In addition, Pawan serves on the board of directors for Girls Who Code.
Pawan received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, his Master of Computer Application in software engineering and neural networks from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, and his Master of Business Administration from Kent State University.
