Francois Mandeville
Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and M&A Officer
François Mandeville is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and M&A Officer at Cencora, Inc. As a member of Cencora’s enterprise leadership team, François oversees the company’s strategic planning process, market and corporate development, deal sourcing, and the strategic integration of acquisitions. He also leads Cencora Ventures, LLC., the company’s venture capital fund which invests in and partners with emerging healthcare companies working to transform healthcare.
Before joining Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen) in 2024, François held multiple strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and business leadership positions and has extensive experience in life sciences and pharmaceutical discovery, development, and manufacturing. He has been responsible for M&A efforts that have resulted in more than $65B in successful capital deployment over the past three decades. Most recently, François held the position of Chief Development Officer at Johnson Controls where he led a major portfolio transformation and completed more than 30 M&A transactions in three years. Prior, François worked for the Danaher Corporation where he led business development for its life sciences platform that he helped grow from $2.4 billion to more than $15 billion through transformative acquisitions over his 10-year tenure at the company.
Additionally, François has vast experience in areas including strategy, engineering, operations, research and development, and marketing within Strand Life Sciences, Hewlett-Packard, and Agilent Technologies. François passion’s for creating value through M&A is fueled by a rigorous strategy-first approach that informs target selection, diligence, value creation, risk mitigation and effective integration.
François has an electrical engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal.
