Nation’s Top Practitioners Address Future of Community Oncology at ION Solutions’ LPP National Meeting

Washington, D.C. - Today, ION Solutions, a part of AmerisourceBergen and the largest physician service organization and group purchasing organization (GPO) specializing in the support of community oncology, commenced its Large Practice Program (LPP) National Meeting in Washington, DC. The meeting brings together 500 of the nation’s leading community oncology professionals, including physicians, administrators, pharmacists, and industry leaders, to evaluate the challenges facing the community segment and create the best paths forward.

During the two-day meeting, community oncologists have the opportunity to attend sessions on several topics, such as building a clinically integrated network, adding value through physician dispensing and retail pharmacy, and payer contract negotiations. The meeting also offers clinical-focused sessions that provide information on manufacturers and emerging cancer treatments, including biosimilars.

The LPP National Meeting is part of ION Solutions’ ongoing educational conference series. The sessions are designed to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and networking, as well as strengthen the community of independent physicians dedicated to oncology. Each year, ION hosts nine conferences featuring expert speakers, a review of key clinical findings on specific areas in oncology and thought-provoking discussions related to the latest clinical treatment options and best practices in business operations.
