AmerisourceBergen Reinforces Commitment to Local Talent, Opens Office in Carrollton

Carrollton, Texas – Today, AmerisourceBergen, a global healthcare solutions leader, hosted the grand opening of its newest office located in Carrollton and reinforced its commitment to attract and retain unmatched talent in the Texas community. The 300,000 sq. ft. facility includes state-of-the-art features for associates such as: tech-enabled conference and business centers; specialized mother rooms; fitness and yoga centers; and a coffee shop, café and micro-market. Associates working at the location can also enjoy access to nearby walking and biking trails, all within a 30-minute drive to downtown Dallas.

As a part of AmerisourceBergen’s efforts to promote sustainability and employee wellbeing, the new office, located in the Austin Ranch Community, is actively pursuing a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification, and is smoke and tobacco-free. A sustainability roadmap was created to guide the design and ensure optimized operations and energy and water savings. The facility also includes a community garden, tended to by associates, which will offer fresh produce and other plants, as well as a Serenity Area for quiet reflection and meditation.

The AmerisourceBergen Foundation, an independent not-for-profit charitable giving organization focused on supporting health-related causes that enrich that global community, also announced donations totaling $25,000 to two local organizations. The Foundation will provide community grants to Operation Kindness, the largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas, and Metrocrest Services, which provides programs that lead to self-sufficiency and foster independence for individuals, families and seniors living in the region.

The new property was developed by Billingsley Company and constructed by StructureTone Southwest. Gensler was the architect for the building and its interior. JLL provided developer oversight and interiors project management.  JLL previously assisted with the site selection and lease negotiation of the new office. The property will be managed by Billingsley Company.

In addition to the new Carrollton location, AmerisourceBergen has more than 130 offices globally.
