AmerisourceBergen Earns Top Marks in 2018 Corporate Equality Index
VALLEY FORGE, Pa.– Today, AmerisourceBergen proudly announced that it has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2018 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.
“We are proud and honored to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index as an organization that values equality and the dignity of each individual,” said Kathy Gaddes, EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at AmerisourceBergen. “At AmerisourceBergen, we have developed a culture where diverse perspectives and work styles are celebrated and encouraged. Just as we strive to create healthier futures every day, we remain unwaveringly committed to fostering an environment where our associates, leaders and business partners are met with an experience that’s driven by innovation and inclusion.”
The 2018 CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. AmerisourceBergen’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
