Springfield Pharmacy offers COVID-19 shots for eligible children

“Finally.” That was the word for many of the parents who lined up at the Springfield Pharmacy Thursday for their children ages 5-11 to get a coronavirus vaccine.

In the latest battle against the pandemic, pediatricians and pharmacists have begun giving children ages 5- 11 vaccinations using the Pfizer pediatric vaccine that received emergency use authorization last week from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Less than 48 hours after the CDC approved the shots, Springfield Pharmacy owner and lead pharmacist Chichi Ilonzo Momah held a clinic for eligible children.
