As EVP & President of Community & Specialty Pharmacy at AmerisourceBergen Corporation, Rich is responsible for leading teams and solutions focused on one of the company’s most significant customer bases, including national and regional chain pharmacies and independent retail and specialty pharmacies. 

Rich brings deep pharmaceutical product and commercial strategy knowledge that helps AmerisourceBergen expand its value throughout the manufacturer-to-patient supply chain to improve patient care and drive long-term customer value for more than 7,000 independent community pharmacies and top-tier strategic accounts representing $60 billion in annual sales. 

Prior to this role, Rich served as President of Strategic Global Sourcing, where he oversaw all of AmerisourceBergen's sourcing, pricing, and inside sales activity in brand, specialty, generics, OTC, biosimilar, animal health and med-surg products. This included leading global offices in Ireland and Switzerland, and serving as procurement liaison with Walgreens Boots Alliance Development. Prior to this role, he held several leadership roles on the Global Sourcing and Manufacturer Services team overseeing relationships with all of the organization’s manufacturing partners.

Prior to joining AmerisourceBergen in 2013, Rich held leadership roles at Sandoz, Inc. and Teva Pharmaceuticals in various sales, marketing, operations and supply chain positions of increasing responsibility. And prior to that, Rich worked at Black & Decker in their Supply Chain Development Program. 

Rich received his undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Logistics and graduated from Temple University with a Master of Business Administration, as well as a certificate in Basic Pharmaceutical Development. Passionate about community service, Rich serves as a board member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of JDRF and the Healthcare Distribution Alliance Foundation.
