Established in 2014, the AmerisourceBergen Foundation makes charitable grants to fund programs and organizations that focus on health-related causes to enrich the lives of members of the community.

Our mission

The mission of the foundation is to positively impact the lives of the people in communities AmerisourceBergen serves by improving the health and well-being of our patient populations. We provide funding for programs and organizations that focus on expanding access to quality healthcare—both human and animal—to strengthen communities around the world.

Municipal Support Program

We are committed to providing communities across the country with the resources they need to combat the epidemic of opioid abuse. The AmerisourceBergen Foundation launched a municipal support program that provides organizations with access to drug deactivation resources that enable community members to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs in a safe and effective manner. The AmerisourceBergen Foundation guidelines

In order to have the greatest impact, the foundation provides grants to organizations that are focused on providing access to healthcare and education, in particular to underserved and vulnerable populations. In addition to supporting educational opportunities in communities, the foundation is proud to provide up to twenty scholarships to the children of AmerisourceBergen associates.
