The UniPak is extremely versatile. Use it as an entry system to automation, as part of a pharmacy efficiency solution, and/or as back-up for any type of unit dose automation. When you are ready to implement bedside verification, UniPak can bar code each dose, resulting in safer medication administration. As your requirements grow, the UniPak will integrate with other AutoMed Efficiency Pharmacy™ systems from AmerisourceBergen.

Safe, Economical and Easy to Operate
The UniPak labels, fills, heat-seals and perforates individual doses – between 60-80 per minute into USP Class A packages (which has up to one year beyond use dating). This economical packaging method means medications can be purchased in bulk instead of more expensive unit dose formats, yielding savings of $.04-.065 per dose.  The poly paper is available in clear, amber, red, green and blue. An optional AutoPac automatic feeding system allows for continuous packaging, freeing up pharmacy technicians for other tasks. The system has a thermal transfer printer that prints up to six lines of print per package (including bar code). If needed, a history of packed medications can be viewed from the software. UniPak's horizontal feed eliminates crushed pills and keeps heat away from gel caps, problems all too common in vertical feed systems.  The robust design results in significantly reduced down time and greater customer satisfaction.
